Recruitment Manager

As a thriving enterprise that has been in business for 35 years, AgCall is looking for a passionate Recruitment Manager who will partner with and ensure the long-term success of our clients in Canada and the United States. Work will be focused primarily on recruitment projects in Canada, with some assistance on US projects. You will be responsible for developing relationships with stakeholders and organizations to identify sources of potential AgCall Associates within the agriculture industry.

AgCall Associates are temporary/part time contractors who are recruited because of their specific experience, skill sets and abilities to help execute projects for clients. The Recruitment Manager will build a database of potential prospects , screen, and present candidates for consideration on projects, and engage with AgCall Associates to keep them aware of ongoing projects and business development initiatives and as a resource for new potential Associates.

The right person will control their own destiny, decide where they want to live and work from, have the ability to grow without having to relocate, and establish a work/life balance.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Work to quickly get up-to-speed on AgCall clients, protocols, processes, and project requirements.
  • Lead and actively source and recruit Associates for AgCall projects
  • AgCall recruiting activities consists of
    • Expanding the Associate database
    • Identify prospects and candidates to AgCall project managers for consideration for upcoming projects.
    • Lead the ongoing engagement with Associates (current, past, future) to ensure they are readily available for projects which are an appropriate match to their skill sets.
    • Track all contacts and conversations, leads and placements in the Recruitment Manager program.
  • Identify prospects from sources in the agriculture industry.
  • Work closely with other AgCall consultants and employees, developing a trusted advisor relationship and acting as an internal recruitment coach, identifying regional supply and demand.
  • Assist in AgCall marketing efforts as it relates to recruiting.
  • Regularly interface with AgCall, teams, leaders, managers, and stakeholders to best serve the client.
  • Always represent AgCall in a professional business image.
  • Engage with agriculture associations and attend appropriate functions to promote AgCall as a great place to work.
Education and Experience
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred.
  • Recruitment experience (3 + years) – recruiting part-time/contract employees is an asset.
  • Agriculture background is a definite asset.

  • Proven experience managing business relationships and closing sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • A take charge type of person with the desire to get things done.
  • Ability to influence and lead others in team environments.
  • A relentless desire to pick up the phone and reach out to Associates, candidates, and sources every day to serve AgCall's loyal clients.
