Agriculture Field Specialists

AgCall Inc. has exciting field opportunities for agriculture professionals for the 2026 growing season. Our Agriculture Field Specialists respond to inquiries, conduct field investigations, gather facts, make observations, and manage relationships with growers. Successful Specialists must be adaptive, make on-the-spot assessments and decisions, and be strong communicators. Job Details
  • Contract lengths: Multiple options (May – June, May – August or June – August opportunities available)
  • Locations: Multiple locations in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba
    • Alberta: Calgary, Edmonton, Lloydminster, Peace region (Fairview, Grande Prairie, Peace River, Sprit River), Red Deer
    • Saskatchewan: Kindersley, Lloydminster, Maple Creek, Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current, Tisdale, Weyburn, Yorkton
    • Manitoba: Brandon, Portage la Prairie, Souris, Winkler, Winnipeg
  • Pay: $35 - $42/hour, plus bonuses and mileage reimbursement. Compensation will reflect a candidate’s skills and experience.
Responsibilities

Technical

  • Schedule and coordinate farm visits based on field priorities
  • Collect and input data using provided technology tools (apps, iPad, smartphone)
  • Inspect fields to verify crop types and collect samples according to established protocols
  • Assess data and determine compliance within the crop input use guidelines
  • Educate growers on seed treatments, plant symptomology, program terms and conditions, and best practices
  • Prepare clear and detailed reports

Relationship Management

  • Develop a strong and cooperative working relationship with the project manager
  • Engage with growers professionally to schedule visits and obtain required information
  • Manage and maintain respectful, professional customer conversations to ensure the most positive customer service experience possible
  • Uphold confidentiality and data integrity throughout the program
Requirements
  • Superior field scouting experience, including insect identification, understanding plant symptomology and environmental stresses and performing crop injury assessments
  • Solid agronomic skills and understanding of crop and plant responses to different product applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong observation skills and a keen eye for small details
  • Competency with technology including computers, smartphones and tablets
  • Experience in agronomy, crop production, or a related field. Related degree, designation, or personal agriculture experience is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to navigate rural areas
  • Willingness to travel within a 150 km radius of home base
  • Physical ability to walk several kilometers in differing crop types and stages, in a variety of weather conditions
